About the Journal

About JSTHD

The Journal of Socio-Technical Systems and Human Dynamics (JSTHD) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by International Journal Press. JSTHD publishes original research on the interaction between social systems, technical infrastructures, organisations, and human behaviour — the territory where what people do and what systems do shape one another.

Scope

JSTHD welcomes manuscripts that address human factors in technology adoption, platform governance, organisational change, trust and accountability, labour and the future of work, socio-technical design, and the dynamics of distributed teams. The journal sits deliberately at the intersection of social science, organisational studies, and systems engineering, and is open to empirical, methodological, and theoretical contributions.

Editorial standards

Audience

JSTHD addresses social scientists, system designers, policy scholars, organisation researchers, and the cross-disciplinary community studying how human and technical systems co-evolve.

Decision principle

Scope-first editorial triage: manuscripts within scope receive constructive review and clear timelines; manuscripts outside scope are redirected promptly with referrals to better-fit venues where possible.
