These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of ijpress.com and the publishing services of International Journal Press (“IJ Press”, “we”, “us”), an open-access scholarly publisher operating six independently-edited, peer-reviewed journals. By submitting a manuscript, agreeing to review, reading our content, or making a payment, you accept these Terms.

1.Our services

IJ Press provides scholarly-publishing services: editorial handling, double-anonymous peer review, professional copy-editing and typesetting, and open-access publication of accepted articles, each with a registered DOI, long-term preservation, and distribution to indexing services. We are a publisher; we are not a writing, editing-for-authorship, or “guaranteed-publication” service. Acceptance is determined solely by peer review and editorial judgement.

2.Editorial integrity, no pay-to-publish

Editorial decisions are made on the basis of scholarly merit, methodological rigour, originality, and fit with a journal’s scope, never on the author’s identity, institution, or ability to pay. Payment of any Article Processing Charge (APC) does not guarantee, accelerate, or influence acceptance. We operate in alignment with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines, including on misconduct, corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions. Editorial decisions are final, but an author may submit a reasoned written appeal to the Editor-in-Chief. Where post-publication issues arise, we issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions following COPE guidance, and the original article remains accessible alongside any such notice.

3.Author warranties & responsibilities

By submitting, the corresponding author warrants that: (a) the work is original and not previously published; (b) it is not under consideration elsewhere; (c) all co-authors have approved the submission; (d) it does not infringe any third-party copyright, privacy, or proprietary right; and (e) all funding sources, conflicts of interest, and required ethical approvals are disclosed. Authors must provide accurate information and respond to editorial queries in good time.

4.Article Processing Charges & payment

IJ Press journals are open access. Where a journal levies an Article Processing Charge, it is payable by the author or their institution only after a manuscript has been formally accepted. There is no submission fee and no review fee.

Where an APC applies, it is quoted in US Dollars (USD), exclusive of any taxes that may apply, and is collected online through our payment-gateway partner, Razorpay. IJ Press does not collect or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or bank credentials, see the Privacy Policy. Fee relief is available under the Waiver Policy.

5.Licensing & copyright

Authors retain copyright in their work. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), permitting reuse with proper attribution. IJ Press retains rights in the site design, typesetting, journal branding, and the collective form of each issue.

6.Service delivery

Our service is delivered electronically. “Delivery” means publication of the accepted article (the Version of Record) on the journal website with a registered DOI, open-access hosting, indexing, and an electronic publication certificate where offered. We provide a digital service only and do not ship physical goods. See the Service Delivery policy.

7.Cancellation & refunds

APC cancellations and refunds are governed by the Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8.Confidentiality & privacy

Manuscripts under consideration are handled confidentially within the editorial workflow. Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9.No guarantee of outcomes

We do not and cannot guarantee acceptance, a specific publication date, inclusion in any external index or database, citation, or any particular academic or professional outcome, as these depend on factors outside our control.

10.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IJ Press is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the site or our services. Our total aggregate liability in connection with a manuscript shall not exceed the APC (if any) actually paid for that manuscript. Opinions expressed in published articles are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the editors or the publisher.

11.Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IJ Press, its editors, and reviewers against any third-party claim arising from your submission or conduct, including claims of infringement, defamation, breach of research ethics, or misrepresentation.

12.Third-party services

The site relies on third-party providers including Razorpay (payment processing), Hostinger (hosting and email), Cloudflare (content delivery and security), and Crossref and indexing partners (DOI registration and discovery). Their respective terms may also apply to your use of those features.

13.Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to the grievance process in our Contact & Grievance policy, the courts at Lucknow, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. International Journal Press operates from India.

14.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page, identified by the “Last updated” date above; the current version applies to engagements entered into after that date.
