Dr. Pushkar Singh Rawat is a dedicated biochemist with extensive expertise in clinical biochemistry and toxicology, based at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Lucknow. He earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry (2022) on lead (Pb) toxicity in children, working at the intersection of environmental toxicology and public health, following an M.Sc. in Biochemistry (2014) and a B.Sc. in Biology (2012) from the University of Lucknow, and a Diploma in Pharmacy (2008) from Government Polytechnic Dwarahat, Almora, Uttarakhand. His honours include the ICMR Senior Research Fellowship (2019–2022), and he has qualified national and state eligibility examinations including ASRB-NET, CG-SET, HP-SET and U-SET. An active researcher with numerous peer-reviewed publications, his work centres on heavy-metal toxicity, particularly the neurobiochemical effects of lead exposure in children; he has also authored international book chapters spanning toxicology, nutraceuticals, medicinal plants, plastic biodegradation, and artificial intelligence, reflecting an interdisciplinary and applied scientific approach.
