Vol. 1 No. 1 (2026): Inaugural Issue

Published on 10 October 2026 as the inaugural issue of the International Journal of Convergent Biosciences and Pharmaceutical Innovation (IJCBPI), the sixth title of International Journal Press. Two double-blind peer-reviewed articles announce the journal's convergence brief. The first surveys single-walled carbon nanohorns — their structure, functionalisation chemistry and emerging applications in drug delivery, biosensing and energy storage — as a versatile nanocarbon platform. The second reviews herbal medicines in perioperative care, tracing herb-drug interactions and bleeding risk into a risk-stratified medication-reconciliation framework for anaesthesia and surgery. The speciality of the inaugural issue is that it links materials science to clinical pharmacy: a nanomaterial platform paper and a patient-safety paper that meet in the space between biological discovery and pharmaceutical practice, the interface the journal was created to publish.
