Allegation of Misconduct

IJ Press investigates all good-faith allegations of research or publication misconduct following COPE flowcharts.

Scope

Plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, image manipulation, duplicate or redundant publication, authorship disputes (ghost, guest, or gift authorship), undisclosed conflicts of interest, and unethical research conduct.

How to raise a concern

Email the Editor-in-Chief at [email protected] in confidence, with supporting evidence.

Process and outcomes

  • We acknowledge the concern, make a preliminary assessment, invite a response from the author(s), and investigate proportionately and confidentially. The author’s institution or other bodies may be notified where warranted.
  • Outcomes range from clarification, through correction or expression of concern, to retraction and, in serious cases, a publishing ban.
  • Concerns are handled fairly to all parties; we protect the confidentiality of good-faith complainants and do not tolerate retaliation.
