Dr. Deepika Rani is a legal scholar and advocate specialising in human rights law, with a particular focus on the rights and protection of children. She holds a PhD in Human Rights Law from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow (a NAAC A++ central university), awarded for empirical doctoral research on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on children's human rights, alongside an LL.M. in Human Rights and an LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of Lucknow. Enrolled with the Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh, she has practised across civil, criminal, human-rights, and corporate matters, combining courtroom experience with rigorous empirical scholarship. A UGC doctoral fellow, her published research spans child-rights protection, the post-pandemic digital landscape, and technology-enabled safeguarding, including work on protecting children from online grooming using AI-powered tools, appearing in peer-reviewed international and UGC-CARE listed journals and presented at national and international conferences. Her interdisciplinary interests across law, the social sciences, and the humanities bring a rights-based, evidence-driven perspective to the editorial leadership of a multidisciplinary journal.
