Duplicate Submission Policy

Manuscripts submitted to IJ Press must be original and not under consideration by any other journal.

  • Simultaneous (multiple) submission to more than one journal is not permitted.
  • Redundant or “salami” publication, publishing substantially overlapping work, or fragmenting one study into multiple papers without justification, is not allowed.
  • Preprints are welcome and must be disclosed at submission with the repository name and DOI/link.
  • Conference material: a previously presented abstract is acceptable if disclosed; a manuscript that substantially overlaps an already-published conference paper must declare this, and must add significant new value.
  • Secondary publication (for example, in another language) is permitted only with full disclosure and the consent of both journals, per ICMJE.

All submissions are screened for text overlap. Confirmed duplicate or redundant submission leads to rejection, or to correction or retraction if already published, handled per COPE.
