Workshop Proposal
Use this page to propose an academic workshop, methods lab, or thematic seminar in partnership with the Journal of Predictive Health Analytics and Clinical Informatics. Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis.
Eligible activities
- Academic workshops: focused, peer-led sessions on a theme that intersects the journal's scope: predictive health analytics, clinical informatics, health data science, and adjacent fields.
- Methods labs: hands-on training in research methods, instruments, or analytical techniques relevant to the journal's community.
- Thematic seminars: structured discussion series, optionally developed into a special section of the journal.
What to include in a proposal
- Theme and rationale: the focus of the workshop and how it aligns with the journal's scope.
- Organisers: up to three organisers with affiliations, ORCIDs, and roles.
- Format and audience: expected length, mode (in-person / online / hybrid), and intended participants.
- Outputs: whether the workshop is intended to feed a special section or curated collection in the journal.
- Timeline: proposed dates and key milestones.
- Open-access disclosure: if a special section is planned, confirmation that articles will be published under CC BY 4.0 in line with the journal's Open Access Policy.

Editorial review timeline
- Acknowledgement: within 5 working days of receipt.
- Initial editorial decision: within 4 weeks.
- Special-section development: if applicable, agreed with the editorial office after acceptance.
