Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Privacy Statement

Journal of Engineering Informatics and Data Systems ("the Journal"), published by International Journal Press, is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who interacts with this journal: authors, reviewers, editors, and readers. This statement explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and safeguard it, and the choices you have. It should be read together with the publisher's full Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which apply to every journal operated by International Journal Press.

1. Who we are

Journal of Engineering Informatics and Data Systems is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal operated by International Journal Press, based in India. For any privacy-related question you may contact the editorial office at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

The names, email addresses, affiliations, country, biographical statements, and ORCID identifiers that you enter on this site are collected through the journal's editorial management system when you register an account or make a submission. We also store submission files, correspondence, review reports, and editorial decisions linked to your account. Standard technical data, such as IP address, browser type, and session cookies, is processed so that the site runs securely and keeps you signed in.

3. How we use your information

Personal data is used only for the legitimate scholarly purposes of this journal: managing registration and authentication, processing and tracking submissions, conducting peer review, communicating with authors and reviewers, publishing accepted articles, assigning persistent identifiers, and maintaining the scholarly record. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.

4. Information published with your article

Because this is an open-access journal, the author names, affiliations, ORCID identifiers, abstracts, and corresponding-author details that accompany an accepted article are published openly. As part of the article metadata they may also be distributed to indexing services, abstracting databases, and discovery systems. Please submit only information that you are willing to have published.

5. Payments

Where an article processing charge or other fee applies, payment is handled by our third-party payment gateway, Razorpay. Card and banking details are entered directly with the payment provider and are processed under its own security and privacy terms; the Journal does not receive or store your full payment-card information.

6. Service providers and disclosure

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate the journal, including our web host, the payment gateway named above, and optional services such as on-page translation. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their service. We may disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect the integrity of the scholarly record, for example when investigating an allegation of misconduct.

7. Cookies

This site uses essential cookies to manage your login session and preferences. You may disable cookies in your browser, but some features, such as signing in and submitting a manuscript, will not work without them.

8. Data retention

Account and submission records are kept for as long as they are needed to operate the journal, preserve the scholarly record, and meet legal and archival obligations. Published article metadata forms a permanent part of the scholarly record.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to respond promptly if a problem arises.

10. Your rights

You may ask to see the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, or request deletion of your account where we are not required to retain it. Information that has already been published as part of an article's permanent record generally cannot be withdrawn. To exercise any of these rights, please write to [email protected].

11. Governing law and updates

This statement is governed by the laws of India. We may update it from time to time, and the current version will always be available on this page. By registering with or submitting to Journal of Engineering Informatics and Data Systems, you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Statement.
